WE ARE DIFFERENT !

Semi Rigid Pipe – Unlike GRP pipe, Petroplas is able to curve around obstacles during an installation relatively easily. This is possible due to the fact that It can bend at 25 times the outside diameter of the pipe. This translates to a 4ft radius on a 2” pipe, and 17ft on an 8” pipe.

1. Fluorinated Barrier Layer Inside and Outside – Unlike all semi flexible and flexible pipes which have and rely on multiple layers for efficacy (which delaminate), Petroplas has a homogeneous pipe matrix. This matrix is Fluorinated and thus forms a chemical barrier inside and outside of the pipe which is part of the matrix, thus no delimitation is possible due to the chemical bonding at atomic level. This process also addresses all the concerns of the petrol pipe being attacked from the outside, and the failures associated with this attack.

2. Secondary Pipe Barrier Layer – Due to the fluorination process, our secondary co- axial pipe, manufactured of the same polymer as the primary pipe, also has the same fluorination barrier, both on the inside and outside of the pipe. This essentially means that co-axial Petroplas pipe has 4 barrier layers, for total protection.

3. Safe and Reliable Fusion Technology Jointing – The electro fusion couplers are also fluorinated, thus giving total protection. The fittings are both Petroleum and LPG rated, and therefore safe and reliable, with no known jointing failures due to product.

4. Pipe supplied in Straight Lengths or Coils – Pipe is supplied both in coils and lengths in order to satisfy all our customers’ needs. Coils also allow for long runs of pipe, eliminating the frequency of joints, which on other systems is time consuming and not always reliable.

5. Available from 1” to 30” – Due to our flexibility in manufacture, we are able to offer pipe diameters from as small as 1” used for generators to pipe sizes of 30” used in refineries, pipelines, harbors, and airports. All sizes are approved for both pressure and vacuum usage.
